I just learned that Sears is NOT honoring the spend $50, get $50 promo if you used a gift card to purchase the $50, like I told you about doing with the CVS deal (buy a $50 Sears card, get $10 ECB). This makes NO sense to me, because a gift card is LIKE CASH, and the rebate information did not exclude purchases made with gift cards.Tuesday, June 15, 2010
Sears spend $50, get $50 update

Ughhh I just did this yesterday and submitted my rebate online. My husband is putting on one of his shirts as I type this. :(
ReplyDeleteThat is really too bad. I think a lot of people will really be upset with Sears. We used two gift cards to do this transaction. It seemes like they shouldn't care how it is paid for. Like us someone gave us the first gift card as a gift so I'm not sure why it would matter.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
ReplyDeleteAs Lynn emailed me, you could try to return everything and then rebuy it with cash so that you can get the $50 back. You could then save your gift cards for Christmas or something.
I suggest you call Sears Customer Service and complain!!
