Right-Left Christmas Game

I used to play this game with my students for a fun activity on following directions. It was called the "Right Family" and the story had the words "right" and "left" throughout the story. I gave every student a penny or small candy and they stood in a large circle while I read. When I said the word "right", they would pass the object to their right. When I said the word "left", they'd pass it to the left. It was a lot of fun.

I found a Christmas Version that tells the Nativity Story and thought it may be fun to wrap up a small candy bar or little trinket and play this on Christmas Day with the whole family. When the story is over, you get to unwrap the gift in your hand! It's a fun way to tell the Christmas Story that gets kids involved and listening!
