Gift Cards for Prescriptions

Did you ever notice the coupons for various stores/pharmacy's that offer a gift card with a new or transferred prescription? This is a great way to make a little money when you have to fill a prescription.
In this week's Meijer ad, there is a coupon for a free $10 gift card with a NEW or TRANSFERRED prescription.
Last week there was the same type of coupon in the Target ad, and you can also print it online here.
Rite Aid often has 2 $25 gift cards for filled prescriptions in their ads or online. CVS coupons for these gift cards will often print out with your receipt. Walgreens will sometimes send these coupons/checks in the mail.

Remember to read the fine print. Some of these have a limit of one, and some (like Target) says one per prescription, so you could use one for every script you're filling!

Good deals at Diapers.com

If you need to stock up on diapers, try out diapers.com. They offer free shipping (1-2 days) on orders over $49 and usually have some good coupon codes or manufacturer coupons you can select. Plus, new customers can save $10 on diapers or formula with code: 123DIAPERS and there is a rebate for $14.97 HERE (it's a free magazine, but you can request the price as a refund check- just read the details).

Here is a scenario you could try:

Just head over to diapers.com and register for a new account

Then add 7 Jumbo packs of Luvs to your cart at $6.99 each- I got 5 in size 1 for future baby showers and 2 packs of size 5 for my littlest who is still using diapers at night.

To qualify for free shipping, I added the WetOnes travel pack for $1.49 to get me over $49.

Than use code 123DIAPERS at checkout to get an extra $10 off

My total came to $40.42, but then I can then submit the rebate HERE for $14.97 back

My total is $25.45 for 7 packs of diapers and a pack of wipes! Or just $3.64 per pack! That is a great price for diapers!

Look what came in my mailbox!

Remember, my post about how I love to get the mail? Well here is what I received in my mailbox today! (I know, I get excited easily!)
* a cute little pouch to carry powdered drink mixes in (or, more likely will be used for makeup) from Nestle "Glowelle."
* a free sample of "Glowelle" beauty drink mix, Pomegranate flavor
* a rebate from True North Cluster for $3.50
* 2 coupons for Bath and Body works: one for a free antibacterial pocketbac and one for 20% off
* a free Frizz styling spray from Living Proof.

Also, in the last few days I received four new magazines: Oprah, All You (packed with high value coupons!), Better Homes and Gardens, and Woman's Day. These were all free subscriptions I signed up for (except the BH&G, which I think is still part of a gift subscription from my Mom. Thanks, Mom!). I don't always have time to read these cover to cover, but they are nice to flip through when dear Husband is watching sports, and there all always coupons inside!

Want to have fun getting the mail? Try this sample: Click HERE to request a free sample of 6 flavors of Nescafe Tasters Choice coffee sticks. And sign up for this 3 month magazine subscription here to Family Circle.

SWAGBUCKS... get rewarded to search the Internet

Do you use swagbucks to do your online searching? If your answer is no, you really ought to be! Swagbucks is a search engine (like google) that rewards you "swagbucks" for doing your online searching. You can then use these "bucks" to get rewards, like gift cards, apparel, electronics, books, and MORE. My favorite reward is the $5 Amazon.com gift card for 450 swagbucks.

You can also get more bucks on Fridays, which is Mega Swagbucks Day, for using their toolbar (download for free), or by completing special offers. Once in awhile they give out extra codes as well!

Have I convinced you yet? If so, give it a try! Just go here to register and start earning!

Redbox Codes for Free Movie Rental

Have you noticed the Redbox movie rental kiosks at Meijer and Kroger? You can rent a movie here for $1 as long as you return it by 9 pm the next day. Redbox often has codes for free rentals as well.
Try these codes next time you're there and see if you can get a free rental! There should be a button to push that says "Rent with a code" or something like that. It beats the $4 price at some video stores!

I'm revealing my "new baby"

Hi everyone.... Again.

I started this blog back on January 6, but didn't tell a soul about it. I was basically just learning the ropes, getting things "prettified" (shouldn't that be a word?), and seeing if this was something I would have time to do.

I really am excited about getting great deals and SHARING them with others! I don't know why I am this way; perhaps counseling could reveal the source of my frugal and freebie-addicted ways. I just know that others seem to be excited when I pass on a good deal, so I guess I'm not the only weird one. HaHa!

Anyways, with teaching part time, being a stay-at-home-mom most of the time, working on finishing my Graduate degree, and being involved with church, I don't want to neglect the other things in my life. I had to make sure that I could FIRST focus on these things, and make this my little hobby! So, I am going to attempt to only post deals during our family rest/nap time in the afternoon and/or after the kiddos are in bed for the night.

Please share my blog with EVERYONE you know! :) Just kidding, but do please pass it along to others who you feel could benefit from it! I really appreciate it.

Thanks for reading!!
Meghan

ps: oh, and most of the deals I posted about during my practice period are still active, so scroll down and see if anything jumps out at you!
