Interesting News Story: 3 Arizona women arrested in country's largest counterfeit coupon crime ring!

Three woman were arrested in Arizona for running the largest coupon counterfeit crime ring ever. They had over $25 million in fake coupons that they were selling for big bucks. The local Police Department and FBI recently were tipped off to this crime ring and started operation "Super Coupon" to track them down. They were busted and will now face numerous legal charges!

This is a great reminder for everyone who may be tempted to pay for coupons. It is best to only use coupons that you absolutely know are legit- the coupons you print from coupons.com, smartsource.com, redplum.com, etc are all legitimate coupons, as as the ones that appear in the Sunday inserts. Coupons that come in the mail from companies or are found directly on their website or Facebook page are also okay.
It is not only illegal, but it's also unethical to try to use coupons in ways they are not intended. Using coupons past their expiration date (without permission), using coupons for items you didn't purchase or didn't purchase in the correct quantity, photocopying coupons, altering coupons in any way, and printing more than your limit are all areas of coupon fraud, which is punishable by law!
This kind of behavior hurts couponers who are trying to ethically save a buck. It gives couponers a bad rap and makes manufacturers and stores frustrated... perhaps enough to change their coupon distribution and policies! In this Arizona case, over 40 of the nation's largest manufacturers were victimized, costing them thousands, if not millions, of dollars!

Please know that the coupons I share with you are always legit. I never post an offer or coupon that I think is fishy or know to be fraudulent!
