DIY: Make your own Snow Ice Cream!
With all the snow we're expected to get today, I thought I'd repost this. We just put a bowl out to collect some fresh snow!
If your kids love playing in the snow AND they love ice cream (haven't met one yet that doesn't!), here is a fun and frugal activity for you!
If you get a lot of snow where you live, you may get tired of all the snow you get during the winter. It can really be depressing... and cold... and depressing. But, maybe it would help you and your kids to adopt the "when life gives you lemons..." mentality, and have some fun with the snow instead of complain about it.
I'd heard about "snow ice cream" before, but had never tried it. A quick swagbucks search was all I needed to find out the "recipe".
Here's all you need to do:
Collect 4 Cups of fresh snow (use a metal bowl to keep it cold longer while you make it)
1 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Stir until everything is mixed together well. Add toppings, if desired. Store the rest in the freezer!
This is really fun for the kiddos and is super easy on the budget!
