I am a wife to my wonderful husband, Jason, mother to two beautiful little girls. I am a stay-at-home mom 90% of the time, but I am also a part-time teacher! Since dear Husband works hard to make the money, I work hard to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the money! I believe paying retail is for the birds and I don’t believe the old adage that “Nothing in life is free”. I love to see the ways that God works in my life. I've been a couponer all my life, but completely changed the way I shop and spend money about 2 years ago when I learned how to get the most out of coupons! Since then, I've cut our grocery bills in half or more, have more food in the house than ever before, am able to donate more than ever before, and now I enjoy shopping!
When I began getting 6-12 months supplies of things for free, friends would ask how I did it. I began to share the best deals I saw with friends via email. Well, my email lists quickly grew and grew. I began teaching coupon classes as well, so I decided it would be easier and more fun to write a blog that anyone could check at anytime to see the deals I was seeing! I truly hope that I am able to help people stretch their dollars, show people how to be frugally happy, and demonstrate the love and generosity that Christ has shown me.
Some of my favorite verses that pertain to frugality:
Proverbs 30:7-8 says, "Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Psalm 34:8 "O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
